What Are The Benefits
Of All-On-4® Dental Implants?
All-on-4® dental implants in NYC can provide patients with a permanent solution to missing teeth. The All-on-4® procedure can not only restore a beautiful smile, but it can restore tooth function, too. When compared to dentures, All-on-4® dental implants provide increased durability, maintain jawbone and facial structure, and offer convenience by not requiring special care, like dentures. Because the implants mimic the natural root of a tooth, patients can enjoy eating all the foods they love once again. With All-on-4® dental implants, patients will no longer need to worry about concerns associated with dentures, like teeth slipping or falling out while talking, eating, or smiling.
All-on-4® dental implants are less invasive than traditional dental implants. By requiring only 4 posts to restore a full arch, All-on-4® patients can enjoy a less extensive procedure and shorter recovery times. Because All-on-4® utilizes less implants, patients also may be able to avoid bone grafting. All-on-4® implants can often be placed on the same day that any damaged, decayed, or broken teeth are removed, which can also speed up osseointegration.
Unlike dentures, All-on-4® dental implants can reduce the risk of jawbone density loss. When teeth fall out, the body begins to think it no longer needs the portion of jawbone that once held that tooth in place. As a result, the bone is reabsorbed, causing changes to the bite and facial structure, shifting, or loosening of surrounding teeth, and difficulty speaking or eating.

Who Is The Ideal Candidate For
All-On-4® Dental Implant Surgery?
The ideal candidate for All-on-4® dental implant surgery in NYC has lost most or all of their teeth from the upper or lower jaw. Any remaining teeth that are damaged, decayed, or broken can be removed before the procedure. If you have experienced significant tooth loss due to poor hygiene, periodontal disease, age, or trauma, All-on-4® dental implants may be right for you. The ideal candidate for All-On-4 dental implants is in good general health and a non-smoker. Patients who have poor jawbone density may not be ideal candidates for All-on-4® dental implants. During your consultation, our staff at Madison Avenue Oral Surgery & Implant Center will examine your dental and medical history, as well as assess the extent of tooth loss to determine if you are an ideal candidate.
How Do All-On-4® Dental Implants
Compare to Traditional Dental Implants?
All-on-4® are traditional implants, rather they only use 4 implants a prosthesis, The main benefits of All-on-4® is that it does not require each missing tooth to be replaced individually. All-on-4® dental implants replace a full arch of teeth using just 4 implants. If a patient were to replace a full arch with traditional dental implants (singularly), they can expect a significantly longer healing process. Because less implants are placed, All-on-4® does not typically require bone grafting, contrary to traditional dental implants. Traditional dental implants are ideal for replacing a single missing tooth, or missing teeth that are not close to each other in the mouth.

What Should I Expect During
All-On-4® Dental Implant Surgery?
All-on-4® dental implant surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia. The procedure is performed in-office at Madison Avenue Oral Surgery & Implant Center. It is important to remember that the All-on-4® dental implant procedure will look slightly different for each patient. All-on-4® dental implants can replace all your missing teeth in just one procedure.
Before placing All-on-4® dental implants, any loose, damaged, or broken teeth will be removed. Dr. Datson and his oral surgery team will place the posts in the jawbone. These posts will act as the root of your new teeth, holding them securely in place. After the implants are positioned in the jaw, the temporary teeth may be inserted. This set of teeth will be worn until the implants heal and the custom-made bridge is complete.
